What size box do I need for a bar of soap?
Measure a cured bar: length, width and thickness. A common handmade bar is about 3 × 3 × 1 inches. We add a small allowance so the bar slides in without scuffing, and cut the box to that size.
What is the best packaging for handmade soap?
A tuck-end box in kraft or white cardstock is the most popular. Sleeves and belly bands leave the ends of the bar open, and a window box lets customers see and smell the soap.
Can soap be boxed before it has cured?
Cold-process soap should finish curing before it is fully enclosed. If you box early, choose a window or sleeve and uncoated board so air can still reach the bar.
What has to be on a soap label?
In the US, true soap is overseen by the CPSC and needs the product identity, net weight and your business name and address. If you claim it moisturises or deodorises, it counts as a cosmetic under FDA rules and needs an ingredient list. We print the text you supply.
What material are soap boxes made of?
Kraft or white SBS cardstock from 14 to 18 pt. Kraft is unbleached and recyclable; white board gives brighter colours.
Are your soap boxes eco-friendly?
Yes. Kraft and cardstock boxes are recyclable, and we can print without plastic lamination and use an open die-cut window instead of film.
Can I order boxes for several scents in one order?
Yes. Tell us how many designs you have and the quantity of each. One size with different artwork is the most economical way to box a range.
What printing options do soap boxes have?
Full colour CMYK or a single ink colour on kraft, with uncoated, matte or gloss finishes, plus foil stamping or embossing for gift lines.
Is there a minimum order for custom soap boxes?
No minimum order. You can order a short run to test a design and reorder the same specification later.
